Enabling Peak Procedural Performance and Connectivity in the Operating Room

At the Intersection of Connectivity and Collaboration

In dynamic surgical environments, efficiency and outcomes go hand in hand. It is our goal to help you deliver both. With greater connections driving greater outcomes, we design our innovative surgical technology to help save and sustain lives in your hospital’s operating room and beyond.

Staff Safety

In the operating room, safety is non-negotiable — and that goes for staff as well as patients. Does your surgical equipment provide the ergonomics your surgical teams need to work both effectively and safely?

Prioritize Ergonomics

Do your passionate surgical teams prioritize patient safety over proper ergonomics? Help protect them while they protect your patients with surgical table positioning and accessories designed for staff safety.

Nurses

Adjustable Tables

Choose a table that helps your team work safely and comfortably with quick and easy height adjustment.

Lightweight Accessories

Lightweight accessories can help your team position patients safely (and turn over rooms faster) without risking strain or injury.

Easy Attachments

Look for attaching components that are easy to use and support ergonomic motions — like our unique hook coupler system.

Your surgical teams will always put their patients first. But with ergonomic surgical table positioning and accessories, you can help ensure their safety while they focus on the patients in front of them.

Patient Safety

Is your equipment doing all it can to help you protect patient safety in the operating room? Our solutions can help keep your patients safe without overburdening your surgical teams.

Focus on Safe Patient Positioning

Your surgical teams are constantly balancing safe patient positioning with proper surgical site access. It takes the right combination of tailored equipment and research-based guidelines to maximize both.

Nurse over patient

Prevent Injuries

Historically, patient positioning injuries were common before it was understood how the body can be injured while under anesthesia.1

Comply With Guidelines

Research and evidence-based guidelines help perioperative staff and device manufacturers safely position patients during surgery to prevent injury.1

With the right operating tables and accessories, you can safely and effectively position your patients, follow safety guidelines and help prevent injuries to improve patient outcomes.

Clinical Collaboration

When connectivity enables greater collaboration, the opportunities to drive greater outcomes and reduce clinical burden are virtually limitless. Communicate and share information effectively inside and outside the operating room with smart collaboration that brings teams together — anywhere, any time.

Connect Staff Within the OR and Beyond

Today’s surgical teams are not limited by geography. Expand your department’s impact and expertise with video conferencing and streaming to help you connect, collaborate and consult with colleagues, no matter where they are in the world.

Nurse on Communication device

Communication

Minimize delays and help improve patient outcomes with video conferencing and streaming capabilities that allow your surgical teams to connect with staff outside the OR.

Confidence

Immediately access the information you need with high-performance video technology like zero-latency routing, 4K streaming (with full 3D support) and HD recording — all while caring for patients.

Experience peak procedural performance and connectivity with collaboration that extends beyond the walls of your OR.

Improve Care Team Communication to Reduce Clinical Burden

From room setup to patient transport, every part of the surgical workflow hinges on effective communication. That’s why the operating room at UW Medicine’s Valley Medical Center expedited communications and collaboration between caregivers and staff with:

Nurses using communication device

Mobile Convenience

Shared smartphones for all OR and circulating nurses, anesthesia providers and techs, patient care assistants, transport staff, surgical services techs, admitting staff and post-anesthesia care unit staff2

Interoperability

The hospital integrated the Voalte mobile communications solution with its EHR mobile app, middleware, nurse call system and patient monitoring devices2

Reduced Clinical Burden

The solution alleviated stress for physicians and nurses caused by communications delays or errors (along with reducing OR turnover time and boosting HCAHPS scores)2

Help minimize delays and simplify communication across your department and beyond. It all adds up to more efficient surgical workflows — and fewer burdens on your clinicians.

Workflow Efficiency

Are you tasked with growing your surgical case volume without growing your footprint? We design our surgical solutions to help you get more from your existing spaces and reduce the burdens on your teams.

Speed Room Setup

Slow OR turnovers are frequent sources of frustration for surgeons, staff and administrators. And extended wait times can undermine patient confidence and satisfaction. Efficient communication between OR staff and outside team members has been shown to help.

Communication Counts

Communication is a common root problem for delays in the OR3

Faster Turnover Times

A study showed that communication between OR staff and outside team members led to faster OR turnover times4

Efficient OR workflows are paramount to keeping patients safe and staff satisfied — so we designed our OR integration technology to help.

Procedural Support

As your patient population evolves, so, too, will your demand for new procedure types. Expand your offerings to serve your changing communities with surgical equipment that flexes along with you.

Support the Positions You Need Today and Tomorrow

Prepare for growing case volumes and variety with equipment that supports the full breadth of positions you need — safely and cost effectively.

Operating Room

Trendelenburg Position

In this position, the patient’s head is positioned below their feet at an angle of 15-30°.5

Fowler’s Position (Beach Chair)

In this position, the patient is in a semi-seated position at an angle of 45-60° with their legs straight or slightly bent.6

Lithotomy Position

In the lithotomy position, the patient’s feet are positioned at or above hip level, with their knees flexed and thighs separated.7 The patient may lie flat or in the Trendelenburg position.

Lateral Position

In the lateral position, the patient lies on their left or right side. Patients are typically placed in a supine position first, then rotated into the lateral position.8

Prepare for growth with flexible surgical tables and accessories that support safe, effective patient positioning. We’ve got you covered.
