Versatility and Compatibility
This accessory mount is rigid and works with 32 mm W x 38 mm x 43 cm spaced spine frames. You have the choice of the Flex Frame Long Accessory Rail, which is a double-length mount that handles the addition of multiple accessories.
If you need a smaller rail mount, you can turn to the Short Accessory Rail, which works to install any standard rail accessory to a spine frame. It works for arm supports and retractors.
These medical rails have a patient weight capacity of 500 lbs. The long rail is 17’’, while the short rail is 6’’. They both fit the Allen Flex Frame and most other spinal tables.
How Rails Support Patients and the Care Team
Stabilizing upper extremities during surgery is essential for the prevention of injuries like brachial plexus injuries, hypoxia, direct nerve injury from compression, and hypotension.¹ And when surgical arm boards are in place with these medical rails, physicians can also have an easier time adjusting the patient to gain better access during a procedure.²
With easy access to arm boards and other tools via accessory rails, surgeons can help support safe patient positioning and repositioning protocols.
