Course Description

This program is designed for individuals responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining the facility’s Baxter equipment. Upon completion, the participant will have the product knowledge and hands-on experience necessary to keep the patient care areas functioning at their required levels.

Course Objectives

Understand the Connex 360, including its configurations, purpose, and usage.
Learn how to:

  • Set up and configure the device
  • Utilize the device effectively
  • Troubleshoot common issues
  • Perform necessary repairs
  • Conduct post-repair actions, maintenance, and calibration

First Certification

Upon successful completion of the course, the participant will receive a Certificate of Completion and access to the training content for 3 years.

Recertification

Audience

All external technical personnel responsible for the maintenance of the Welch Allyn Connex 360 Patient Monitor.

Objective

Acquire the technical knowledge required for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the Welch Allyn Connex 360 Patient Monitor.

Prerequisites

Basic mechanical and electrical familiarity, typical of facility maintenance or biomedical technicians.

Module 1: Product Overview & Operation

  • Upload firmware and configuration files

Module 2: Troubleshooting

  • Symptoms, messages and alarms

  • Using the manuals

Module 3: Disassembly & Repair

  • Procedure Prerequisites
  • Full Disassembly and Reassembly

Module 4: Post-Repair Actions – PPM

  • Introduction to the Embedded Service Tool
  • Post-repair and PPM procedures
  • Simulation of the Full Functional Verification

Assessment Procedures

At the end of each module, a theoretical assessment is given through a knowledge exam. The learner must score 80% or higher for successful completion.

Online theoretical instructions and exams, practical assessment through online simulation.

Certification

Our certified online eLearning courses provide the necessary training to obtain the certification required for servicing the device after completing all the course requirements. The length of the certification is provided on each certificate.

Learning Experience Evaluation & System Documentation

  • To assess the training quality, a satisfaction survey (paper or digital) will be given to each participant at the end of the course.
  • This training will be recorded and documented in our learning management system (LMS). Each participant will receive a login to our portal, where they can log in, complete the course and digital exams, and download their certificates after finishing the course.
